AwesTRUCK Attracts An Awesome Response

The street food industry has come a long way since the first episode of Eat St. aired on April 6, 2011. That was evident on Sunday in Toronto as hundreds of enthusiastic foodies converged on the Evergreen Brickworks' Holcim Gallery to attend AwesTruck 2012.

The world is full of weird and wild restaurants, but finding them isn't always an easy task. It takes perseverance, impeccable research skills and, occasionally, a working knowledge of Japanese. In short, it takes someone like Tracey Schaeffer. A veteran of the Canadian film and television industry, Tracey has been tasked with finding 60 offbeat restaurants for Season Two of World's Weirdest Restaurants. We recently sat down with her to learn more about the challenges of her job.
