Snacks and Union Jacks: Eat St. Invades the U.K.

Eat St. is crossing the pond and heading to London for a one-hour U.K. special on Wednesday, July 4^th at 10:00pm ET/PT on Food Network Canada. Bring along your appetite for adventure as we boldly explore the best of Britain’s burgeoning street food scene.

First up is the Eat My Pies stand where Chef Andy Bates serves up delicious and traditional offerings such as the Ham, Cheese & Egg Pie, Scotch Egg Pie and a creamy Custard Tart.

Then it’s over to the Bhangra Burger truck for some Indian-inspired dishes such as a Crazy Lamb Jalfrezi Burger and a Mighty Masala Fish Burger.

Next is a Spanish affair on the banks of the River Thames with Jamon Jamon, the purveyors of the capital’s city’s finest paella.

After that it’s a visit to The Dogfather to pay our respects and chow down on the Snoop Dog, Slum Dog and the famous Mexican Elvis Dog.

We then swings by the Street Kitchen for the best modern French cuisine on four wheels with dishes such as a Slow Roast Pork Shoulder, Hot Smoked Salmon and a crispy Smoked Mackerel.  C’est magnifique!

Next burritos get the London treatment from Luardos where a young group of entrepreneurs have a Mexi-can-do attitude with a menu offering Pork, Chicken and Chipotle Steak Burritos.

The last stop is a truly unique experience at the unforgettably named Everybody Love Love Jhal Muri Express cart, where mystical gourmet guru Angus Denoon whips up his Jhal Muri to feed the bellies, hearts and souls of Londoners.
